Depends on what you mean by "professionally".

It's usually not as bad as you would think. My favorite shop here in Phoenix charges $55.00 plus any parts needed. "Parts", when needed, is usually a standard install kit and that's about another $40.00.

I'm definitely looking into the Eclipse AVN6600 when it comes out (anybody know when?)...the reason I like eclipse is because they're the only in-dash navigation units with audiophile grade sound quality. It seems like all other nav systems have 2V pre-outs and less then spectacular d/a converters. Eclipse on the other hand has 5V pre-outs and 24-bit d/a converters.

The only real con I can see with eclipse units is that they are only compatible with sirius, and as far as I know they have no type of traffic reciever (like xm navtraffic).

My only question...do the eclipse double-din units fit perfectly in the factory radio slot for the xb? The only reason I ask is because every online fit guide I've looked at says no...but they also say the single din units don't fit and I know that's a lie.

The units we've had installed here in Phoenix look factory when they're done.

Maybe it's the shop we use? They seem to go the extra mile for us every day!

Nice choice in the Eclipse. Mine's got the 8v outs and it sounds sweet!

Right now I'm running an Alpine CDA-9855 (best buy discount)...but no alpine nav-system (or cd-deck for that matter) has the quality of eclipse units. I really want the avn6600 when it comes out...but only if I can convince one of my friends at circuit city to hook me up. I swear whenever I leave best buy I'll never be able to pay retail again.

Default aftermaket in the rs3

I just got the AVIC-Z1. I haven't hooked it up yet. Did anyone with a rs3 change their hu yet and do they know if the harness are the same as the regular xb's?
