Headlights-New Bulbs/"Clearcorner" pics
More or less.
This goes out to everyone who said chromed bulbs would look 'ugly' on our cars:
Chrome bulb blends with the reflector

But still lights up amber

The full effect, before

And after

New running lights

To match the headlights

Bulbs are chrome/amber from Cardomain: http://www.cardomain.com/shoptype/Ex...lacement+Bulbs

And the headlights are... Sylvania Silverstars. They take a lot of verbal bashing on this site, but I think they look nice, don't you?
They're also 40 bucks a pair, as opposed to 1k for HID's.
The daytime running lights are PIAA Hyperwhites.

He's referring to the parking lights. In our cars, the bulb behind the amber plate washes out into our main headlamp housing. So it lights up, but its not actually throwing light forward.
I may have to look into those PIAA ultrawhites. I have SilverStars, too, but I left the parking lights stock. Still has that hint of yellow to it, and I'm not liking it.

True HID's use ballasts....since the scions don't have ballasts, the only way to have true HID, is to get them from another car that *does* have them. Ballasts are expensive, typically $150 or more...EACH. And you need two. So.....Ballast, plus projectors, plus bulbs, = true HID, = ~$1K.
