Default Headrest Monitors in tC..... NO 56k Warning!

I just finished putting in two 5.6" Visonica Headrest Monitors, an FM modulator, a 200w Power Inverter & a Microsoft XBOX.... it was alot of fun!!

Shot of both from rear of car

Yeah I know it's a bit crooked but the epoxy holding it in hardened before I got the chance to center it... it was late too!

Passenger Side

Very Clear Picture

Flush Mount Install (Fiance wasn't happy with me for cutting into the headrests)

$160- Monitors on eBay (search 5.6 headrest monitors)
$80- XBOX (Friend)
$25- FM Modulator (Wal-Mart)
$30- 200w Power Inverter (Wal-Mart)
RCA wires... had them
I still need to mount the XBOX & hardwire the Power Inverter.

you got to let us know if you get any noise with the inverter and the xbox. it took me a while to find an inverter that wouldnt induce any noise through my headunit and headphones.

sweet I hard wired my power inverter under my seat and hooked up the power and ground to the cigarette light so it turns on and off when I turn on my car. And for security and mobility I hooked up a A/V port so I can hook up an X-Box, PS2, or what ever else I might like. I will try and post pics

You should lose the noise when you hard wire the inverter as long as you don't run the wires near the motor thats why I recommend hooking the power and ground to the wires of the cigarette lighter

Yes I do & how do I get rid of it??? Will it go away if I hardwire it?

tCrew-R: Thanks for the props! And the quality is awesome!

Use a hanger to fish the wires from the centermost opening in the back to left side post of the headrest(looking at the back of the front seats) Run the wires under the seats & under the sliders & under the center console. The headrests have a small hole underneath that will fit the wires just right. Gut the headrests but not too much... maybe 1" deep. Use fast drying epoxy & put enough around the inside edges where the monitor's shroud touch the foam interior. Position them centered (& not cockeyed like I did) quickly cause the epoxy dries in 1-2 minutes from mixing.

One thing... vision what you want first.... make a drawing of where & what it will look like.... write down what you will need to connect it all right down to the little wire connectors.... get friends to help.... it took 4 of us & we got it done in 3 hours (install & re-assembly)
