Default Help with fog lights PLEASE

I installed the factory fog light kit but I want them to turn on indepentent of the headlights. All I need to know is which wire is the "hot" wire that I should move to a new power source. I tried asking in other forums but no one seems to know.

Thanks!

the EASIEST way is to pop out the switch for the foglight(in the center console)...

there will be 2 wires coming out of the switch..
one is TO the foglights other one is to the ground signal of
the headlights, u cut that wire and ground it.. then it'll turn on whenevr u turn on the switch

That's on the xB. The switch on the xA has 4 wires going to it.

all u need is a voltage meter that radio shack sells for less than 10 bucks..
just contact all the wires till u figure out which wire is the one that recieves a signal when ur headlights are on.

What is the part number for the foglight switch? I am going aftermarket fogs in yellow (nice yellow like expensive Acuras and Benz) down in the lower grill area flush with the grill. My toyota parts guy was useless.

The switch is just like the trac control switch right?

Anyone got a spare willing to sell???

:::EDIT::::
Never mind I found the part number after a little bit more digging. Part# 84160-38010. Does anyone have one that they are willing to sell????

Hey, joey. Do you know which wire from the fog switch is the ground? I'm thinking I can ground that to the ground from the little alarm panel. It has the led and the glass-breakage sensor. That should work right?
