I ran mine in with the radio power (switched) and ground when I installed the aftermarket one. Works like a charm...

Also if you are getting some false results and have a stereo system in your car, it could be because you need to have a cap on your amps.

The directions from Bel for the Rx65 say to mount the detector as low as can. It also says that tint at the top of the windshield greatly reduces your detector's ability to detect radar.
