If you put it back on in the E position it shoud be pretty darn close, besides you still have your low fuel light that will still come on regardless where your needle is.

When the key is off all the needles rest at zero, you might want to have it apart and do the trial and error thing with the key on then off.

did you have the gauge in the position like it is when it in the car when you set it, and you just have to do the trial and error thing. Alot of time it is best to mark them before you take it apart.

how about some help for me!

I got the ac autotechnics s7 gauge and installed it tongiht.

all went well, got it installed and everything and even got the needles right . . .

the RPM gauge on this model is a raised peice of metal that displays the RPM's. the fitment wasn't perfect and now the back of the fuel needle rubs up against the metal of the RPM guage only slightly. this of course casues it to reset itself in different positions and gives a completely in accurate reading for the fuel level. it actualy shows a full tank as if i was SO full that it had more gas in it than you could put in there . . . don't know how to fix this, any ideas?
