Default HELP! How to install these Projectors!??

I bought some HALO Projection headlights from Ebay. I popped the hood and went ....

How do I install these ? I took off my grille and started to take off the front bumper and decided to stop ..... (What did I get myself into)

Does anyone know where I start with this install ? It's the same monting locations as the OEM headlights but where do I start ? Do I have to take off the enitre front to get these on?

Any help would be great!!!

Thanks!!

Did you buy projectors lens or the Headlights with projectors? If you brought just projector lens you will need to bake your headlights and open it up. Then custom fit them on with nuts and screws.

Take off Your Grille / Front bumper

There are two bolts up top and bottom of the factory headlights to remove them..

Then Reverse and put it all back together..

The bumper hides the bottom bolts of the headlights

take off the grill and front bumper.
there are four bolts to each headlight...
they mount up like the stock ones do.

you will need to wire up the led's and the angel eyes...they are not plug and play. the high, low, parking and turn signals are plug and play.

also these things suck for light output. they are dimmer than the stock lights....

The grill is no problem but the bumper?. There are two screws on top of the bumper with one of those captive screws in the middle. I took those off but didn't know where to go from there. Is there a tutorial how to take off a XB bumper ?

Thanks for your help..

There are like four screws, one in the wheel well of each side, another just under the fender on each side, that hold the bumper up, you can just remove them and let it kinda hang outta the way whilest removing and replacing the stock headlights.

Did you do a search for this with the RED search button, I think somebody did a how-to at some point in time.

Thanks for the replies guys. I will take you up on that Squirrel if I get real stuck .

I will try again and I might do a tutorial on here I used the search option on installing headlights-projectors-removing etc. Couldn't really find anything.

It can't be to hard I just didn't want to create more work for myself

Thanks....

::Update::

Thanks for the PM's squirrel that info really helped. I got them in and they look great. The install was about 30 minutes. There were about a dozen screws to take out but not to bad. The XB is pretty funny looking with the front hanging down on the floor.

I didn't hook up the angel eyes yet, Need some guidance on that one. Some minor tweaking on the leveling of the beams and I should be good to go. I will take these over OEM anyday, Looks awesome

Thanks Again...

for the LED's and angel eyes...

use the wires coming off the back of the turn signal bulb.
there are three wires. one is the parking lights, one is the ground, the third is the turn signal.

twist all the black wires together and tap those to the middle wire on the plug. these are the grounds...

then twist the three wires from the LED's and tap them to one of the out side wires.

twist the last two wires from the angel eyes and tap them to the other outside wire on the plug.

if you turn on the parking lights and the halos don't light up but the LED's do...switch the two outter wires....

same thing on the other side

as for leveling the beams...no way...

me personally, i hate the weak light output from these projectors. i only got them for the style...

i also suggest using t-taps for these connection. incase you have to take them out for any reason.
i had to do some road side repairs and i was glad i could remove them...

yeah, i like the style too....

Do you guys have the halo's hooked up to the parking lights? i was thinking of getting a switch and powering the halo's off a switch so they arent always on when i have my parking lights on. i don't know how long the halo's last and don't want anything burning out. any info on the halo lights?
