just thought i would ask b/f messing up something. does the silver trim on the tranny boot and steering wheel pop off? and how do you get the window controls off? planning on getting them black chromed. what do you guys think about black chrome?

 

That would look pretty sweet you can take off the whole center console by unscrewing the screw under the back cup holder...the front of the console is held on by 2 clips that you just snap out...

 

The silver trim on the horn on the steering wheel? And what boot are you talking about? You mean the shifter boot?

 

i am talking about the shifter boot and the two or three trim pieces on the steering wheel not the scion logo. and also the window trim. basically any silver trim in the car i want to redo in black chrome b/c there is a jdm dash trim kit in black chrome i'm gonna get.

 

The ring around the shifter boot comes off. Held on by a few tabs on the bottom. Take the console off like described above and you will see.

Don't know about the steering wheel.

 

Yeah, watch out though... I broke a tab already =\

 

i did too and when I tried to put it back..it left a lil bit of gap..SOLUTION: hot glue the ring from underneath and keep a lil bit of pressure 'til the glue's all dry..
