A friend of mine recently installed a Scion security system in his 06 xA and is having a little problem. Everything seems to be hooked up right but there is no action from the alarm. The remote light flashes but there is no sign of the security system working. Also when it is all connected the left front turn signal stops working.

Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

 

Are there are 2 diff alarms for the xA like the xB with diff alarms & install instructions for the models w/steering wheel audio controls vs the earlier models w/out audio controls
1. did he get the right alarm for his model year?
2. did he use the correct install instructions for the right alarm?
