If all you want to do is power the thing from your car, it shouldn't be to bad. But if you want to seperate the screen from the base, it would be alot more work, but i doubt it would be all that hard.

All you would really need to do is get power to the thing. Should not be to hard. If you seperate the screen, then thats a little more work. Mostly just splicing some wires together to make them longer, so they can reach where you want them to go. Over all, why not look into a small note book computer? You could find one that has a DVD player & 14"+ screen & be able to do so much more then just watch DVDs on it. You could watch movies/video clips you downloaded, could get on SL with wireless internet & have access to your mp3 collection. Its just a idea.

Now that's an accident waiting to happen. You don't keep it there all the time do you?

Plus it's probably a big ticket waiting to happen or perfect placement for a thief to see. It's a nice place to put it when you're parked, but please dont keep it there.

well, my friend had one in his Honda Element and he went to Radio Shack I think and bought one of those adjustable arms to hold a CD player and had it above where our glove compartment is. whenever he left the vehicle he'd just take out the DVD player and pushed the arm back in. i know it's kinda difficult to get the picture, but just a suggestion.
