how many have the 791xv installed? opinions?
I'm about to go get a viper 791xv installed at an authorized dealer for $500. Considering that its the same price as scion so called "security package", its a good deal. But I'd like to know:
1) how many people actually have this installed
2) how long did it take (installer says 4 hrs, seems like std wait time)
3) how much (including hook ups)
4)what do you think about it? feature, range, any quirks...
5) with all those aux connections, what did you hook up to them, if any?
thanks a bunch.
EDIT: I got an auto. gf didn't like learning to drive stick, so i lucked out. oh well.

I paid about 350 for mine installed. I bought it off ebay and got someone to install for me. The install took more than 4 hours, about a whole day. It's a great system but the range isnt so great. If you want range, get a Compustar....
I installed my 791 in my maxima about a year ago. It works great. Range is excellent. I think I bought mine for like 250 on ebay and installed it myself. I was a circuit city roadshop installer though and know how to do it. I recommend getting it professionally done. As for time it will take you the better part of the day. I took me all day because I had to run wires for my window modules inside the doors. I also got the modules on ebay for like 60 I think, you can control the windows with the remote.
For the tC I believe you will need an extra key to stay inside the car at all times and an extra module for the key to go in. The key has a resistor or chip inside of it that lets the car start. Most cars made after 99 have this.
