Default How to remove Driver side A Pillar

I''ve mounted my autodimming Gentex rearview mirror but haven't wired it up yet. The wires are going to run across the headliner, down the drivers side A pillar, and into the fuse box.

Anybody know how remove the A pillar on the xB?
Anyone who's installed an autodimming mirror have any tips? What wires to tap, etc. Seems pretty straightforward though -- wire up 12v always on, 12v on w/ignition, ground

Thanks!

Grab the pillar at the top and pull out. Then you lift it up a bit and it slides out of a groove in the dash.

Just yank on that thing its all clips. When you put it back just make sure the clips are in the right spot, if they aren't aligned right you will feel a ton of resistance and the panel wont be sitting flush. I learned this after my tint guy had some problems getting it back on (the clip slid a little)
