whats so bad about JBL hmm?

talking about a company whos basicly been around since speakers them selfs have been around and have writen alot of the science and math used in the audio world today...

What a deal for $1500.

Not a big fan of JBL either, but they sure do look pretty.

it's not thier look i'm after. check the PDF file. they have perfect flat responce and have some serious VC movement room. xMax is pretty nice but that voice coil hangover gives alot of movement space for a mid range woofer. plus, anyone who is up for weight reduction, they are built with Neo magnets. total system weight is about 10lbs inclueding the crossover circuit, thats pretty frickin nice.

i'm not sure why it's 1,500 for it though... it's lituraly a weight reduced version of the normal GTI series with some directional and cone changes for flatter response.

i'd still pay the 1,500 for it though, i'm impressed with those response results.

I couldn't justify switching from the old GTi for that price. I think the best part of the new set is the x-over. I would love to try that out with the older drivers. It's a shame they don't sell them separately.

if you contact a JBL supplier i'm sure you could get them seperate. only problem is, i think you would have to go through the main supplier which JBL's main is in New york...
