lets say they had a 15in mojo (well i have one) and a 12in w7 ( my friend has one), boxs built to sepcs and given the right amount of power....what would be louder?

i think the mojo would be louder...it does have a sensitivity of 97db afterall....

anyways the reason behind this question is that i have a 15in mojo and my buddy has a 12 in w7, which he got only 6 months old and in a box for 200...BS man...

The Mojo should be considerably louder assuming it is installed correctly. A bad install can destroy the output of a sub... The 12w7 will probably have a little more xmax but the overall displacement is much more with the 15 memphis.

Also the car will make a difference - a 12w7 in a CRX would prob be louder than a 15" in say an SUV.

 

i should have also added that its also asuming that they are both tested in the same car and they both are in a box with the suggested ported sized enclousre

As far as being louder, what are you aiming for spl or sound quality.

 

SPL....i simply want to annoy people...i want LOUD

 

I'm saying the MOJO.....however, both subs could be louder with more power ran into them....

 

mojo... no replacement for displacement.. and they are both in a similar class... ($$$)

memphis products are more designed for pure loudness, not anything else...
