Default I'm scared...audio advice needed!

Okay..At the present time I have the stock head unit in my xB.
I have an Alpine CDA-9851, an Alpine iPod Interface, a Pioneer 760Watt Amp, and 2, 10" Subs in a nice enclosure. I want to put all this stuff in my xB, but I'm very nervous about having to take the car apart. Theres no way in the world I can do it, so I'm thinking about having my Scion dealership do it? I was also thinking about going to an Audio Sound place locally, but I'm very nervous about all the taking apart this entails. Everyone thinks I'm nuts because I worry about this, but I just don't want anything to happen to my baby!!! Any input would be greatly appreciated! What do you guys think about having the Scion dealership do it? Is that something they even do?! Are they liable if anything comes out broken? How easy or complicated of a job is it? Also does anyone have an idea of what I'm looking at as far as installation costs are concerned?
Thanks guys!!!

well, I don't believe the dealer does it and even if they do, it would cost an arm, leg and your first born for them to do it. That being said, just have a local audio shop install it. If it's a good shop it should only take about an hour or so to do the job. As far as costs go I'd say it might cost anywhere from 80 - 150 for the install (again, depending on where you go). It's not a tough job at all. I installed my 2 12" subs with enclosure, amp, new headunit and all the wiring in about an hour and 20 minutes. The only thing you might need to buy is an adapter to hook up the amp to the stock head unit if the new ones don't already have them. hope this helps.

the xb is the ezist car to install anything in, it was disigned to be customized. Iam 16 years old and i installed my alpine subs and amp and under car/ interor leds by my silf and I had no experence w/ car audio/ wireing at all. but if your not comfortable doing it your self then you can somebody to do it......

if you're not confident in yourself, take it to a local audio shop (NOT Best Buy,Circut city, etc).....make sure that automobile audio/video/customizing is all they do...should be a place similar to this:
www.audio-visionz.com

if you're nervous about them breaking something, take pictures of all the interior panels in the car with date/time showing on the picture and if something isn't the same as when you brought it in (aside from the obvious), then you have grounds to get it replaced by the shop....otherwise, take them to small claims court with before/after pictures....

I can install it for you. I used to work at a shop all we mostly did was custom installs. We worked with mostly high end car and home audio, JL Audio, Crossfire, ects. B&K, Paradigm, etcs... I took my little tC apart already!

Okay well, I got everything installed, my Alpine CDA-9851 HU, my Pioneer 760Watt Amp, my 2, 10" Subs, and my Alpine iPod Interface! I was torn as to whether or not to replace the factory speakers, but I decided against it, and I'm very glad I did. I'm very impressed with the sound in my xB! It is PERFECT! My advice to anyone debating about replacing the factory speakers, would be not too. The xB speakers are very capable. However, I do recommend changing the HU if you want a more level sound! I'll get some pics up tonite!

Awesome. glad you are happy with it. But I disagree with not changing the factory speakers. If you compare the factory's with aftermarket, you would probably change your mind. I have 2 12" subs and it practically drowns out the factory speakers. I need an upgrade. BUT, depending on what you want your music to sound like it's probably perfect for some.

^^Yea, I'm use to the factory speakers in a 95' Cavalier, so from that to the xB is like an aftermarket upgrade to me! LOL!
