Default indash monitor question??

have any with the indash setup had problems with the screen becoming distorted (lines, flickering) while playing songs, movies with bass? it appears to be a current issue. i took it to the place that installed it and thats what they said as well. is there anything i can do about this problem? the guy at the stereo shop said that it was b/c the monitor i used wasn't built for this application ( flip down molded into dash assembly). he also added that most all monitors do this from time to time. my problem believing this is that when i first got it it worked fine and last week all the sudden it started doing this. could it be loose wires or monitor? any help would be appreciated.

thanks
bryan

Default Distortion!

It sound like you have some distortion issues! Perhaps a audio and a video cable are crossed, perhaps it is poor wiring? Alot of times if it is cheap wiring or audio/video wire are crossed they could cause this. They sell a video signal amp which is suppose to amplify the video signal making it cleaner/clearer, etc... Just a thought! What brand is the monitor? How much modification was done to the housing around the screen for the install?

Main causes would be, the length of the rca, whether you used a video amp or not, as well as quality of the screen...

also xbox's tend to generate more "noise" due to the fact it has a hard drive.

its not like crazy distortion. it only happens when my dvh-p5000 hu is up to around 30ish with bass at +2 or higher. the problem is only a line or two horizontally across the screen thats white and about the thickness of a pen mark on paper. it happens to the beat of the music/movie ( when the bass hits the line appears bass goes away line goes away). not very bad but noticable while watching movies.
