Installed amp...worked great...then stopped....Need help!
Sunday I installed an amp and small sub. Everything worked great, listed for 70 mins straight on my commute this morning. Hopped in car this afternoon and no audio, but the head unit comes on and seems to lock onto radio stations if I do a seek. I turned the car off and left the key in the ACC position, then pulled and replaced the fuse on the amp and then had audio until I started it, then nothing again???
I wired it up according to the wiring chart on the FAQ page, using the grey cable for the remote on the amp, and splicing the rear speaker cables and running them directly to the amp inputs(the amp will take both input types).
Thanks for any help!!!!

Check your groung... your ground is very important and can cause the amp to kick in and out if you dont crimp it correctly or mount it in a correct spot. My amp had problems with that last time in my last car and it seemed that I accidently did a cold solder job with the ground terminal
Update....first let me clarify...NO speakers are working when this happens. If I remove the rear speaker adapter from the back of the head unit the front speakers will then work, and when I plug the rear speaker adapter back in they then work along with the sub. But when I turn the car off and then back on all speakers once again stop working. It seems that the grey cable I used for remote power is always hot, and the amp will not turn off until I turn the car off. Is the blue cable on the back of the head unit only on when the head unit is on?
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!
The gray wire i believe is your accessory wire. You will need that wire to run to your remote turn-on input on the amp.
The problem seems like you have a grounded out speaker wire... Check all your connections and make sure every single wire is isolated. Do NOT have any bare wire exposed.

what type of amp are you using?
Another update. I noticed that when the amp was connected and working the head unit got very hot. So I dug an old high to low lever converter out of my closet and hooked it up instaed of wiring the speakers directly to the amp. This has solved the problem so far......Will find out how it works this afternoon on the ride home.
