Default Installed Katskinz yourself?

Has anyone here installed Katskinz leather seat covers themselves? Is it easy or is it worth having a profetional do it for you? There's about a $700 difference between a pro and doing it myself.

lvnurs9 and I did her TC. It wasnt hard at all. Just takes some time and strong hands. She did just as much work as I did, and we got the front and back done with no problems.

I did it myself, it was a _____ on my hands because all I had was a pliers. I should have bought a hog ring tool.

It cut up my hands and fingers real well. I had papertowel and electrical tape 'bandaids' on every finger by the time I was done.

Me and my father did mine. It's pretty easy after you've done it a few times

Where did you get the hog ring tool?

I just used pliers to pull them apart, and then cable ties to put the new stuff on.

....Hardware store. They keep them next to the boxes of hogrings.

get a box of band-aids along with the hog ring pliers. the seat metal is sharp. just take your time and everything will go good. the biggest pain is taking the fabric off the rear seat bottom. Damn glue.

I'm thinking the seats will be one of my first mods when my xb comes in. I'm gonna give it a try. I'll pruchase some leather gloves to go with the tool. ;-)
