Default Installed new stereo in xB

I spent the better part of two days installing a new head unit, two amps and a dual band pass box with 2 10 inch subs in my PW. I took out the Scion Pioneer head unit and connector. I removed the seats to make it easier to mount the 4 channel amp for the stock speakers under the passenger seat.

I had to remove the factory iPod connector and install the Alpine unit. It doesn't look as smooth as the stock one but I'm working on a mod to make it look cleaner. Here is the sub box, the amp is hidden in the "secret compartment".

While I was at it, I removed the optional interior light switch and added one that matches the switches I have in the dash. It controls the lights under the dash, the front seats and the cold cathodes in my sub box.

I think it looks much better than the old push button.

The lights on:

And in the sub box:

My switches in the dash:

My new stereo:

And the 4 channel amp for the stock speakers:

The battery terminal is getting a bit full....

And my new oil cap installed:

I ran out of time to replace the stock speakers but I will be doing that in the next few weeks. The sound from the Alpine is good even with the stock speakers and my sub box is kickin!

Not sure yet, looking at the Pioneers.

It's gonna take some getting used to. Not that easy to use when driving.

I love it, sounds great as long as I don't have it pointed at the back hatch. Rattles the rear wiper and the license plate!

Looks good, I just did almost the same, but I put my sub amp under the drivers seat, my car jack will stay in the back storage compartment , I will probably mount a farad cap where the jack went, and it will be under the jack cover, I gotta wait for a little more cash to buy subs and a box, but I love the way the excelon setup sounds. I used the xxv-01d head unit, with the kac-x541 4 ch amp.

when you change those stockers out, be prepped for the better part of a day, cause the rear seat has gotta come out to change the rears out, and about an hour to make some mdf spacers for the fronts. as you probably know, you gotta get 1.25" to clear the front windows when they come down.

Can you post a pic or two of the amp under the seat with the seat installed?

Thanks!

Just flew back into town. I'll try and take some shots of the amp in the daylight tomorrow. You can see it in the pic with the blue interior lights if you look close...

I used a mounting kit that I picked up at Best Buy.
