Default Installing FM Mod - A Few Questions...

Hi everybody. I'm installing an FM Modulator I bought on ebay. I know I attach the black (ground) wire to any metal part of the car. I need to get the Red cable (positive?) hooked up. Is this best done just by splicing the the red feed to the pioneer stereo? I'm installing an on/off switch for the fm mod as well - should I use the red for the switch or can I use the black?

Thanks! I'll post pics of what I've done with my dash when I'm done!

Default FM modulator

i installed a FM modulator on my xB too. i went to radioshack and brought a pack of those little plastic wire splicers and i used the power (red) and ground (black) from the cigarette lighter. i also used 2 wire crimpers to add the switch in.

do a search on modulator and you will find my post. just curious, where do you plan to put the switch and the rca cables?
