Installing Gauge Pod
I got an autometer dual gauge pod that goes on my A-Pillar. Anyone install one of these before and know how its done? Any tech article or pics or anything would be appreciated, thanks!
Pull the rubber door seal away from the dash up to the top of the A-pillar. Pull the A-Pillar cover off (tug hard on it). The gauge pod fits over the top of the origional A-pillar cover then both go back in after you mount and wire up the gauges. Be careful where you run the wires down in the dash next to the speaker grill. There are two locator tabs on the bottom of the Pillar cover that have to go back in a slot and if the wires are there they can get crushed. You most likely will want to remove the speaker grill to run the wires. Make sure you put it back on first before you install the gauge post on the pillar. Once it is installed the grill won't come out with the gauges in place :-) or go back in.
Reseat the door seal, making sure you push the top of the pillar trim/gauge pod in tight as the seal seats against the edge of the assembly. The seal helps hold it all together. I did not use the additional fasteners they provide as it would necessitate drilling holes that would be visible.

Nope, do not have toremove dash at all. Do a searched on gauges. I posted some pics a few weeks back. I installed the 3 gauge version, same manufacturer. It really is a simple install.
