Just to give everyone the heads up, if you're running wires under the center console you're going to want to route them on the passenger's side of the transmission.

If you run them on the driver's side they can get caught in the shifter mechanism and prevent your car from correctly sensing park. This will lead to your key being stuck in the ignition. This in turn will force you to leave your car unlocked with the key in the ignition, something I'm sure we all want to avoid.

The bottom line: route your wires on the passenger side of the shifter or [even better] under the carpet.
