installing your own armrest
HI!! I was just curious if anyone had any experience in installing their armrest on their xb. mine didnt come with one and now i really wish i had one. i dont want to have it installed at the dealership because it'll cost me alot of $$$, so how easy do you think it is to do it yourself?? HELP!!
Don't worry about it do what the guy before me said. I have the one the dealerships now sell. I did it in the dark using only the dome light. . .very easy install. Although I have heard from some it's a little low. I'm only 5'7" so it's just a little low but I'm used to it now. Don't worry about it too much it's easy.
wow, thats great!! i'm not too worried about it being too low, just as long as my arm isnt dangling by my side, it kinda hurts my neck not having the stupid armrest!! thanks guys!! now how much do these things go for??
I think it was under $100. . . I forget it was about a year ago and my ex bought it for me. Check ebay or one of the site sposors like scionsport. IF you want it fast and the dealer has it you can do that too. Do a search on the armrest. . . I have read in other posts there are other armrests that people like better. . . more storage and all that jazz. I just wanted something to put my right arm on. ha ha ha. have fun
The only bad thing is that I keep my lighter in that little center console indent behind the shifter. . . the arm rest makes it a little hard to get to sometimes. I'm used to it now but before it was just a pain. . . I'm starting to notice things are a pain when new for me. . .ha ha ha
