Default interior fishing pole rack

hey all, first time posting, long time reader. i have an 05' box and i'm an avid fisherman. at any time i have at least 3-4 fishing poles with me, and i was wondering if they make anything that possibly mounted inside along the celing so that i can put fishing poles up their so that i don't get poked in the head when i'm driving down the road. thanks in advance

im sure you can probably find something that hooks onto the OS handles on the passenger side.

I've seen applications of this, but I don't know if it is a product you can purchase or if you'll have to make it. It looks like two strips of plastic with hooks and small bungi cords on it. Simply the bungi cord goes across the rod and is held in place by the hook.

I am an avid fisherman as well, but I went a different direction. If you have a roof rack this works great. Get a large diameter piece of PVC tube. Cap one end and put a screw cap on the other. Line the ends with foam to absorb the changes in momentum. Then all you do is clamp it to the roof rack. It makes for a strong rod case. I can fit an 8ft saltwater rod in mine. If you go with a big enough piece you can sometime fit a reel in with the rod. That way you don't have to wait to fish.

Let us know what you end up doing.

Get a thin PVC tube, and a screw top as suggested above. Cut a notch in the other end, big enough for your reel to fit through with a case on it. Then attach another screw end. That way your rod and reel fit perfectly and won't bounce around.
