Default Ipod with Itrip not working with radio

Received an Ipod and then bought Itrip, which allows you to listen to Ipod through FM radio frequency. Itrip works fine on home stereo and in other vehicles, but in the Xb it only works if you are holding it inches from the rear side windows, and even then it is very poor sounding, lots of static.

Not sure if it is the type of antenna or the radio.

Just keep in mind of you are thinking of buying one.

If you have one, but it works, let me know too.

I have a tC and ive tried 3 different FM receivers with 2 different antenna's. No luck what so ever. Sucks. The belkin fm receiver worked with my old accord and ford escort like a charm. Don't get me started on the lack of an auxilary port in a car marketed to young, next-generation kids.

I was determened to make it work, and did. 91.1 freq finally made it work and it sounds great.

Don't know why it doesn't work on other freqs.

The Scion TC does have an Aux input behind the radio. I have a Siruis tuner connected to it via a PIE adapter. All I have to do is push the CD button to listen to Sirus wuthout any nasty RF package. Works like a charm. This would work with any audio source including IPOD.

make sure you don't turn your itrip up too loud. If it goes about 75% the signal starts to crap out and sound staticy even with a good station selected. This seems to be a common thing i've come across with itrip users.
