iPod kit
Okay, I am looking for a way to use my iPod, or any MP3 player really, with the stock headunit in my xB. I DON'T want FM modulation. Here's an example:
http://icelink.densionusa.com/
This company provides audio and charging for the iPod, but does not have a kit for the Scion head unit. Does anyone know of any Scion solutions like this? I can live without the charginf feature, but I need an auxiliary input. This is driving me nuts. The Scion is intended for this kind of modification....yet there is nothing?
Anyone?

ok you should be able to take the CD Changer control and use it as your input for the iPod. There is a connector for the changer and you my purchase the iNet to RCA adapter. You then need to run a mini female to male RCA's to the iNet/RCA cable. It is more than likely that you will find an RCA to mini male adapter. Therefore you need to connect the RCA/male to a mini female and then splice that mini/female into another mini/female so that the iPod connects directly int it. That is one way. The other way is to just get the iNet to RCA converter and buy an mini/female to RCA and have the cables sort of hanging around. Any questions feel free to write back. It is less confusing than it sounds. :D
maybe he intended the satellite control? still, i can't imagine it providing all of the necessary controls to do an mp3 player... if possible that would be awesome as it would mean a hope for me to drop input control signals for an EPIA or mini-itx computer... maybe it would just be easier to replace the unit though..
If there was an adapter that would allow me to plug in a different audio source to the interface that the satellite uses, that would be great. I don't need to control the MP3 player menus from the headunit though. I just want the sound.
The iNet control is a adapter so that you can run a cd changer. Like I said on one end of the cable will be the adapter for the stock cd changer control. At the other will be the RCA inputs.
Okay, I get the idea of an adapter....but where does this adapter plug into? Who makes it? Where can I get one?
Also, as a cited, the stock head unit in the Scion does not have a changer control. There is no option to expand the head unit capability to control a CD changer. The only way I know how to do that is through FM modulation. -and that sounds crappy.
