Default ipod2car info

i was looking into buying the i pod2car, and i was wondering if its only for the stock radio or for aftermarket head units also????

Only for stock.
Aftermarket radio manufacturer's make their own versions of iPod controllers that are specific to their proprietary changer/aux ports.

actually i think they've been coming out with adapters for aftermarket HU's as well....pretty sure i've seen adapters for Pioneer, Bluapant(sp?) Eclipse, JVC and others..... its a 2 piece system from what i've seen 1 main unit that powers the Ipod and allows other functions... then a seperate cord/plug that connects to Ipod2car unit to whatever stock or aftermarket deck

Yes but those are not the Ipod2Car model made by Peripheral. Youre likely thinking of the two-piece one made by Monster or maybe Belkin. Hmmm... Comes in an orange box either way.
