Default Jensen vs. Dual

Looking to upgrade the stock headunit. I've found two that I've narrowed it down too. Originally I was only looking to spend around $200, but when I saw these two for just under $300, I figured what the hell.

Anyone have any comments or complaints about either Jensen VM9312 or Dual XDVD8181? So far I'm leaning towards the Dual. I was looking into the XO Vision, but I already heard a TON of complaints about them.

Say no to Dual! Do a search cause there has been a discussion about Dual products.

Duel IS Jensen,
they make the same head unit and sell it to other companies and they put their name on it, also same a s Boss, and Planet Audio, and a few others that I can't remember.

they are the same... as Gothbox wrote.. they do offer
different specs for each side but its Toyota vs Scion... the same

I like my dual, in dash screen, two moving faces, lots of
control, and no problems for over a year of hard use..

Agreed! Look in the classifieds on here. I picked up two alpine units that worked great for a great price!

Do you know where I could get a nice Headunit for about the same price? My original goal was to spend about $200, but then I saw these two for less than $300. I figured I could get a touchscreen for less than $300, why not?

I really don't need the Ipod connector. I don't have an Ipod, I have the off brand Sansa mp3 player which works just as good!

If you know where I can get a 7" flipscreen with 3 outputs, reverse camera in-put, etc for less than $300 let me know! Any and all help is appreciated! I'm more than willing to get a better product for the same amount.

I've been checking on a few websites: sonicelectronix, ubid, ikesound, hifisoundconnection just to name a few. lol

Alright man listen up stay away from both jensen and dual. I work at Best Buy and the ALL Dual products we sell always come back at one point or another. If you want a deck thats under 200 bucks go with a Alpine. The Model is CDA-9884 sku # is 8699287
you can find it at any best buy it runs for 199.99.

I was looking on some websites that sell refurbished headunits. I found a few comparable headunits on millionbuy. Anybody have any complaints about Power Acoustik PTID-8200 or PTID-8960. The 8960 is about $100 more than what I'm wanting to pay, actually about double what I planned on paying in the beginning, but it looks pretty damn sweet.

So... comments on these or that they are refurbished?

Oh, and I wanted to say thanks for giving me the idea to look at refurbished head units. the price is much better, especially if the quality, is the same!
