and so does focal..............did some upgrades and picking up the xb in a few hours, around noon. anyway got a new JLAUDIO 10w6 got a custom molded fiberglass box, new focal seperates up front and focal coax in rear, and 2 jl amps, alpione head unit!!!!! man i cant wait ill get pics up asap!!! well that is at least after i drive around all day listening to the sweetness

That box looks great, and the carpet matches well. How much volume does it have?

 

thanx....ill let you know how much volume it has, as for the carpet i had the whole back end re carpeted to match the box so it looks a little more "stock"

 

ok the volume is about what spec says...the specs say 0.625 cu. ft. / 17.7 liters

mine is about 0.6cu ft/ 16.9 liters

 

Ah, well... more pics plz I don't know how to check the volume of a shape like that without using water or packing peanuts. And it could be larger than spec, because sealed enclosures are forgiving if they're "too big".

Don't forget - sealed enclosures are forgiving in both respects...

larger than recommended = less power handling and more low frequency extension

smaller than recommended = more power handling and less low frequency extension

 

Speaking of JL - they have a hidden tire enclosure that goes below your tire (in the tC) - im suprised nobody has it or has posted about it.

 

a) I'm not sure if it's shipping yet and b) it's terribly expensive

 

^ a friend of mine said its $$$ also - I looked for a price but I didnt see one.

Jl audio loves me too, and i love them back. i put in the 10W7 in the JL H.O. enclosure with the JL 500/1 amp

 

I'm waiting to see about the new shallow-mount JL Audio subs that are coming out this summer. They might help me build a super-hidden enclosure. Or I could just use what I have and save the money :o

 

nice i have same amp with my 10w6 and WOW it hits!!!!!!!!!!! i want to hear a 10w7 and see the difference
