Default Just a few questions

Just wondering if anyone else here thinks the Rear Speakers sound hollow or weak. I realize there is the DUAL mode that turns them off, but I am running it in single source mode.

Also, I was told by someone that if I rolled down my windows and set the alarm by locking the doors with the remote. that once the alarm light starts flashing if sombody reaches through the window it would go off. I tried testing that and it didn't. . were they wrong or is there something wrong with the way I set the alarm or is it something else

I dunno if the speakers have been changed from 04/05-06, but when i pulled all of mine out i noticed that the rear speakers were for the most part all paper.

The alarm has a motion sensor on it? I didn't know that.

the RS3 has upgraded speakers... I'd swap them for amped components and coaxials and an amped sub....

Yes, the rear speakers seem a little weaker than the front....but, I feel I get excellent sound by going -2 on the front speakers. Gives good overall balance. Remember if you hold your ssp button down, you get sound configurations for xa, xb, and tc. Make sure yours is set xb....as its the best sound. I'm a Musician/Bass player....if you like "Music", there is enough bass response.....you don't need a sub woofer. If you like hip-hop, or techno music, and live for Bass only, and don't want to hear or feel your motor.....then get a sub....but not neccessary for good quality sound. No complaints for a "stock" stereo.....and I love steering wheel controls....peace!!

Hey Prototype_xB

I see you are from Goldsboro Too. I have not seen your RS 2.0 rolling around town.

I also saw in another forum that Joe from Audiocraft did some modding for you. . .I know him pretty well. How pleased are you with his work? Might take the green toaster up there for him to play with.

Default Follow up on motion sensor

well, I answered my own question today. . . a rather nice day in Eastern NC.

I had left my windows down real quick while I went to the ATM. Remembering that my wallet was in the glove box, I had to walk back to my Toaster and retreive it.

Since my windows were down, I reached in through the passenger window to open the glove box. The Alarm had already armed itself, and about the time my hand made contact with the latch . . HORN BLOWS and LIGHTS FLASH ! ! ! ! YEAH! ! ! !

Are you sure you didn't accidentally bump something? Motion sensors aren't usually something that come with stock security systems (maybe convertables, i dunno). Most stock security systems I've ever seen are only set off by the door triggers, but a shock sensor isn't out of the question. Personally, for what they charge for scion security, they should give you a 2-way system.
