Default Just finished with my indiglo install..................

One problem, the overlay is just a bit too thick behind the gas needle. It sticks up so far that it stops the gas needle from turing freely. I had to shave down the big part of the gas needle to get it to move without bumping the overlay. Kinda sucks but I worked through it. Here is a pic of it at night lit up:

The Fuel & Tach needles look illuminated, but the speedometer looks difficult to read - how is it in person? Is it better than it looks in the photo?

It's very easy to read, but it would be a hell of alot better with the other needle illuminated .

Damn, looks good. Maybe you could paint the other needle with some reflective paint.

I've got a kickass idea for these gauges... PM me and I'll share

Yeah the gauge is cool, but it's just not worth the money spent to me . I got them for $79.99 but they could be made alot better IMO.

When I first started to put them in, it looked like the gas needle would get stuck. Put it together and the damn gas needle wouldn't move. They obviously didn't do much testing on these things. I fixed it by shaving the back of the needle a bit. But I should not have had to do that, if the product was made better in the first place. Wait for the APC gauges to come out.

Much, it still looks cool. I hate this white boring one that comes standard on thsi thing. Can't believe they don't give enough room for the needle. I mean, shouldnt they have just matched it to the standard one? Seems kinda simple to me. Maybe I'll see it in person one day since your nearby.

Yeah you can check it out and I'll show you what I talking about. I'll be on DPA this Friday at 10:00 p.m. in the Dunkin Donut parking lot just north of the Southern State pkwy. This face plate comes in 3 pieces. One piece is the indiglo face. Then there are 2 pieces that get glued to the faceplate. That is where the problem is. They sit up off the face plate about a 1/4 of an inch. That is what had my gas needle stuck. Everything else worked perfectly. If you like them I'll probably sell them to you. Come out and we'll talk :D

Yeah hate overlaying gauges. I have installed two sets now and they are all a pain in the a$$. Needles always gets stuck. Nothing is as good as OEM or JDM.

the install looks great, but can anyone enlighten us as to the process of installing the gauge cover, and how involved it is? how do you do it? just snap off the front cover or do you have to take the whole dash off?
