i have an xB and in mine the xA equalizer setting sounds better for some reason.....it has more highs than the xB setting.....

but it only takes 3 seconds on mine to activate it....

i keep the SSP set on Feel unless it get too bassy, then i go to Hear

if you listen to AM at all, Hear or Neutral seem to work best.....

yeah my dealer was quick to check and show that to me as well, but someone else made sure we caught that because some people could notice it in the xBs that it sounded different than their xBs:

scionara showed me that the second week I learned about scionlife. I thought the xA mode is supposed to be louder. I just keep it on xA for the louder sound.

Thx for the tip. First thing Drew did when he showed me the radio was switch it to "XA", but I couldn't remember how he did it. I also set it to "Feel" and what a difference that makes!

I feel so dumb... I am used to all of these computer jukeboxes being able to play all the different music formats. I had copied all of the songs from my computer to 4 CDs to play in the car, only to find that the sucker literally only plays MP3s, lol. Now I have to go back and convert 350 songs from WMA to MP3, and burn all new CDs. Only about 80 of the songs were already in MP3 format.

As the experts always love to harp, "RTFM". Bleah!

Here's what I have found to be the most pleasant (and perhaps the most accurate) in my xB...I set the environment to xB. I find the sound far more natural and far less phasey than with it set to the xA environment. I have all tone controls set to '0' -- except BASS -- which I have at -2, and the DSP set to "FEEL." Not bad for a stock stereo.

i have mine set on XB, and the ssp set to hear, and all the levels at 0....only because i have an amp on the bass, and I set the amp so that it has the perfect amount of bass with everything on 0, but if i wanna pump up the bass, all i gotta do is turn up the bass a lil
