Default JVC DD in-dash DVD PICS & REVIEW!

Well in just finished installing my jvc exad avx706 in dash dvd n its hella sick. other than the fact that the first model i bought was defective and had to be returned i love this unit. This thing is compatable with sd cards, cds, dvds, mp3 discs, and giga mp3 discs (dvd mp3s), and also decodes 5.1 surrond sound. If you arent looking for nav and have a tight budget, this hu is for you. i paid a total of $600 for the reciever and the coordinating ipod adapter. I am so glad i didnt go with a touchscreen because in a reasonable price range the quality of the touchscreen isnt as good. I know alot of people arent fans of JVC, but this thing is awesome quality. From what ive seen all the "EXAD" jvc items are awesome. i give this pup a 4.5 outta 5. Check out the pics:

oooo....awwww...

well the ipod compatibility is better than my stock ipod hu, but if u have alot of songs it can still be a bit tedious. If i wasnt so lazy i would build some more playlists and take care of this. I bought it from overstock.com. I got a good price, but like i said the firt one i got was a jacked up refurb(even tho i was told i was gettin a new one!). i dont think ill be buyin from "the big o" again. With the whole return process it took me almost a month to get it, meanwhile i had no stereo. glad to have it in now tho

well if ur on the fence bout it consider this: Nav tech has been changin super fast for the past few years. I am planning on gettin one of the garmin units and mounting it in the dash. This way if i want a more advanced model later on i can still keep my HU. I am kinda trying to wait until they come out w/ a nav system that trearts the map and locations like a 3d environment. Its not that far off

I feel the same way about nav especially when all those untits bring the price up to over 1g for a good one for a head unit

Default JVC DD

Sciond, where did you get that HU for 509.00? I have the AVX2 and would like to replace it with this one.

I would totally buy one if there was some sort of security feature to prevent theft

That's the problem with DVD headunits nowadays, they just seem so tempting, visible, and easy to steal

yeah thats true with the nav tech changing. ill prolly just go with a screen and then get a nav i can use in both of our cars. they have come in down in price alot. only problem is i already have a dvd player single din deck, all i need is a screen. it wouldnt look as clean as this and would be a pop up screen but i already have part of it....

Does this HU allow you to use stearing wheel controls like the Eclipse HUs?
