I just installed this deck about a month ago (thanks to people helping me on the forums). It owns, I love it, you will love it. Great picture quality it will definately get a response from anyone who sits down in your car. I do worry about theft because it is a sexy looking HU. I got an ipod for Christmas so I guess I will be buying the adaptor and wiring that up sometime soon.

It's down to this HU, the Panasonic touchscreen and the Jensen unit, for me.

Is this hard to navigate without a touchscreen?

moving thru the menus isnt bad, i dont miss the touchscreen tech. My dad has a Ridgeline w/ a touchscreen DD and it annoying as hell. Its not quite responsive eneough and always has lots of fingerprints

I have this unit in my tC and I absolutely love it. I found one on eBay about 6 months ago BRAND NEW for only $400. Plus I installed it so the radio door still shuts so hopefully it won't get stolen.

Ok so I have the iPod adaptor comming in the mail. Can anyone confirm that it will display video from my iPod video as well as play music? If not it looks like I will have to buy one of those RCA outs for the iPod and have it hooked up to the deck two different ways (One for music selection via the adaptor, and one for video via the RCA out).

Ok, I guess I am going to have to have it hooked up two different ways then. When using the ipod adaptor, you still have the option to switch to the aux video in, right?

Also did you use the filler plate that goes around the outside to fill the gaps or did you have to make your own.

I wired the parking wire to the bolt that sits behind the HU in the dash. U need to have a constant ground to the parking wire to play DVDs.

I got my little filler things from crutchfield. they were pretty cheap, I didnt want to have to deal w/ fabbing a part that small that would have to look perfect since its under constant scrutiny.

Its kind of a one or the other type of situation. Havent tried it but im almost positive that u need to unplug the actual iPod cable to use the AV out. And another thing that u may want to consider: iPod videos are compressed. Now dont get me wrong they have hellla good quality for there file size, but the video will NOT be DVD clear on the monitor. I think ill have to unhook my ps2 and try it out to see how the quality is on a the monitor

Mine came with a filler plate I was wondering if it would work....cause from your pics the one i got is not wide enough to fill the gap.
