Default Kickpanels

Anyone know when Q-Logic is going to make a set of Kickpanels for the xB? Thinking about trading my truck for one, but I need a set of kickpanels for the xB first cuz I have a 3-way component set.

EWWWW, hehe. Not sure on a release date but I'm sure if enough of y'all pester them then they will.

I had some Q-Logics in my Accord and they sounded horrible. Should build some yourself, pretty easy, just tedious work.

Yeah, they can sound like crap, but I am not running them for a midbass speaker. The midbass will be in the door. I will be using it to house my midrange, and tweeter. You can deaden them enough from behind with a couple layers of dynamat and a 1/4" MDF baffle for a 4" midrange to sound ok. If it still doesn't work for ya, you can always fiberglass the back in. Much less tedious and time consuming than building a set from scrap.

Just my 2 cents.

Hey aren't you on ECA?

I'm vthondaboi on those fourms, think I answered the same question there.

Anyways if the imaging sucks, which it did in my accord then you can't really fix that. Even though it's not playing midbass the reasonance will kill the SQ. You'll have to go through the trouble of deadening it. IMO do it right the first time.

I doubt QLogic will make kickpanels for any of the Scions. If so it woudn't be for a while. The quality of them is not great either,. Like VTScionguy said its needs a lot of deadening and reinforcement to sound good. Better off spending a little more have a shop custom make them for you,

VTSCION....got any pics of some maybe you have done for your scion? If not, what has been your solution to getting the front stage to image correctly?

Yeah I am a member over on ECA. Maybe I did already ask this over on ECA, but can't hurt putting it on here where the Scion experts are. Anyways, thanks for the replies.

Haven't made em for the xB yet, not sure if I ever will. Losing that footspace was a _____ cuz I drive so much.

Here are work in progress pics of the ones I made for my accord. Let me tell you that I never touched fiberglass before I started that project. You just gotta jump in.

I have some too. They are not as nice as Denny's, but I love 'em. My tweeters are in the dash, where as Denny has his w/ his kick panels.

takes up too much footspace. but thats just me sometimes it just depends on the car and the scions dont have a whole crap load of foot space at least not width wise.

It can be a burden if you have wide feet. My kicks do not extend past the foot rest so im cool with it.
