leather seats
here in lexington, ky. my scion dealer is teaming with an interior upolstery shop to have a leather seat option. cool huh.
also the local sport tuner here might hook up with the dealer to have a tricked out promotional xB, xA, and tC. my thoughts lean toward the tuner doing a mad turbo upgrade on the tC. the tuner has a big turbo following, and not to mention a few high horsepower mitsu's in the 500 - 600 range.
i asked the salesman if he could maybe post some pics once this gets off the ground. so this will be cool to see.

Beautiful leather seats, nicely matched strip down the center in the rear. Besides the looks, what are people's reason for going to leather? I've never had leather seats, too cheap so far. But I'm tempted by the Wet Okole seats I've seen, very nice. They offer water resistence, which I expect leather does as well. I'de just be concerned the leather would get damaged in some way, but then so can the normal fabric. Is the main reason for leather the looks, or impression that leather means richer/better?
to me leather is not anywhere near as comfy as the seat that come standard with the xB....they're the most comfortable seats i've ever sat in that are mounted inside of a car!!
leather stiffens stuff up and i don't like it

Leather only stiffens up over time if you ignore it and don't treat it with leather conditioner. It is animal skin after all! To me, Leather makes the car feel more luxurious, avoids stains/easy to clean, IS more comfortable than the Cloth, makes the car smell great. I mean, sit in a BMW with and without LEATHER and you'll see the difference in terms of aesthetics. It brings your car to another level. Cloth just feels cheap. Also, Leather increases the value of your car. People always want leather and if you ever want to sell your car, people will jump at it if it has leather, not to mention, with embroidered logos on it. You'll find your passenger appreciates the leather seat as well, makes them feel like they're sitting in a quality automobile.

As for the leather seat idea? My current car (1999 Eclipse) has leather. After having leather for 5 years, I can't bring myself to be without it
