Yo, i want to get a set of LED lights for under my xB, I had white neons on a thundercloud, looked sick but the neon broke, so now i want to get LED but i know some of them are crappy, so anyone know a good set to get?? I was thinkin of this one made by VARAD http://www.varad.com but again I would like to hear from someone who might know for sure.

I have a set of Streetglow's Optx multi-color LEDs. I love them. You get 7 colors: red, green, blue, yellow, purple, pink, and white. It also has several different scanning modes as well as sound controlled, constant on, and flashing. I bought mine at Advance Auto for $148. They are a lot brighter than any neon I've seen.

Depending on where you want the light you can go cheap and get cold cathodes. I have two pair behind the front bumper that light up the grill area. This is what it looks like with just them on.

LITE GLOW in either a solid color or multi is the best thing going. Easy to install and look hella plus all the different flash patterns, it will be a while before I give them up for something else.

Varad are the best because they are LED so if something cracks the bar they'll still work but if your neons get hit they are done. If you want interior neons I sell them on ebay... just search my username.

Here's what the Streetglow Optx looks like. It's poor quality because I took this with my digital camera at dusk and I converted it to WMV so it would be small. It does give a fairly good idea of how they look. I had them running in random mode for pattern and color.

The euroeffects look good but the price is a bit much. They are more than double what the Streetglow's cost me.

I like yours Max2K. I've thought about adding more lighting that looks like that. I'm still undecided though.

I'm not a big fan of VIP-style... but that's a very good looking DIY. What kind of LEDs did you use to get that spot light effect? Did you just drill holes into the side skirts and use those little LED mounting screws?
