I put Cyber White #194 bulbs in mine to get rid of the yellow light look, and they are alittle brighter.

They are filament bulbs, not LEDs. I just had my assembly off this past weekend to repair it. The two studs that hold the assembly to the rear door is incredibly flimsy. Mine has broken twice. So I modified two soda bottle caps and eposied them over the studs to create ultra strong round gussets. A lot sturdier now!

Why would you want something that makes your plate brighter and easier for people to see? Like, oh, say... the police. You shouldn't do anything to facilitate Johnny Law and his antics.

That said, is it illegal to make the lights red? Will it get a fix-it-ticket?

If you're not doing anything illegal, you're not going to get pulled over. It doesn't have anything to do with how bright your license plate is.

No offense dude but its not like i'm gonna be racing or anything illegal with my box plus its a Mod that definetly makes you unique, sure its gonna attract attention but its also a safety issue which i believe the police or "Johnny Law" would apperciate. Plus what it comes down it personal prefference and style isn't that why we have our Scions.

Yeah I know that Yellowish color just bugs the crap out of me when I'm walking towards my Box after I turn it on with my Autostart while I'm waiting in line at the store.

I didn't say you were doing anything illegal. Read HondAudio's post and my response again.

I made them myself cuz' I had a little time, and the spare white LED's, and I had all my stuff laying out on the table, like a couple of resistors, board, soldering iron, solder... I didn't feel like waiting on them to ship.

Making them yourself is a pain in the rear, I'd just buy something like this

yes I believe its plug 'n play. It should be a 194 bulb. Check to make sure though. I think its written on the factory bulb.
Just replace your old bulb with this one.

i would like an answer to this, looking to go green instead of red though. i figure its fine, since you have people rolling around with the neon tube for the frame of the plate.

anyone with some facts? :D
