Default Lighted fog light switch

Most if not all of you with the factory fog lights have had the same thought, I'm sure ... It would've cost what, about 25 cents more to get an illuminated switch?!?!?

I looked in vain until I stopped by Orvac Electronics in Fullerton yesterday. Those of you who've been there know it's one of the most compelling reasons to live in "The O.C." Those of you who've been there also know it's not financially safe to go there too often. While wandering in a daze looking for 5mm screws I stumbled upon this:

More pics here as I take 'em:

Did it fit in the hole when you removed the od witch and how does it work. Is the switch illuminated when the switch is in the on or the off position. Thanks

Looks like the little icon that indicates the fog light is wrong, why is it pointing down, shouldn't it be turned 90 degrees. The stock one is. I mean fog lights don't point down.

That switch is made by Hella and is for older 4Runners and trucks that have verticle cutout holes. It will fit but the picture will be wrong and the terminals wont match the factory wire harness. It lights up when it is turned on.~~scott

Wow, how's that for information! :D

I've been too tied up finishing other mods-in-progress to do more than poke around with a meter trying to figure out the connections. I haven't even done a test-fit in the dash but as Scott17 said it's the right size. In fact it was in the bin right next to the switches that come with the Randode cathode kit

The factory connector won't work but that can be fixed with a bit of stripping and crimping. (I hope.)
