Mod for those looking to "adjust" their seats back
I have been looking to move my driver seat back for a while. I was just about to go to a race shop and have them weld my seat in a further position, but opted against it. Well, my friend and I tried something last night that was a great alternative, and made a huge improvement in how the seat feels now.
Basically, my friend and I unbolted the driver seat, and added a few washers under the front mounts of the seat giving more support to my legs, and angeling the seat up.
I don't know why, but this made the seat so much more comfortable to drive in. My leg no longer hits the center console, or the shifter. However, i did notice, that I sit a little higher in the car, but with all the head room, I don't care.
If anyone wants to try it, let me know. But I hold no responsibility if you mess up.
Especially since you have to make the holes bigger for the seat mounts.

I sat in big_boy's car after this mod was done, and I must say, it is a big improvement. I might do my seats as well.
I think there was an old thread about it, but I never paid attention. Now that I've felt the difference I highly recommend it.

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution to getting the seat lower. I think you would have to construct new mounting points, or have your seat mounts cut and rewelded to a lower height.
As for pics, well, my camera works, but my home computer where I load pics too is not working so I can't get the pics up.
tutorial! hmmm, I could do a quick tutorial. But it does involve some cutting of the stock seat brackets.
I will have to get back to you on this, so I can make it as detailed as possible.

This is a great mod. Gives support under the knees. It's been around for a while, must've fallen thru the cracks...
