is there a limit to the amount of folders you can have on a an MP3 cd? i know some MP3 players limit the folder amount. like no more than 4, for example.
thanks.

another quick question:
how do you name your mp3s so that the player reads the artist, album, and song name properly. i had mine as "artist-album-song name" and it couldn't read anything except for folder and file name. do i need to put spaces between the dashes?
thanks!

The HU is picking up the song name, artist & album info from the ID tags inside the individual songs, not from the name of the file. Make sure that the .mp3 files have this info before you burn & that will clear up your issue.

oh ok...how do you check if your MP3 has the ID tag? i have MP3s that i have just ripped from my own CDs, then i go to Windows Media Player and it plays and displays all the tag info, yet when this same MP3 is burned on a CD and played on the stock HU, it comes up "NO TITLE" for all the info. what gives?

Just taking a guess here - I bet that the file is being encoded with ID3 v3 rather than ID3 v1 or vice versa (I make sure that I have both on my files). To check what's really going on, I would recommend using a program called Ultra Tagger, http://www.atelio.com/ultra-tag-editor/screenshots.php. This will tell you whether you have one type of ID and not the other & allows an easy copy from one version to the other. Good luck!

When you burn CD's with iTunes, are you able to get them into separate folders on the CD? For example I've got 8 different Beastie Boys CD's ripped, each into their own respective folder. However, when i burn a MP3 (or Data) CD usingiTunes, it puts all 150+ songs in the same damn folder. Thats just inconvienient for everyone. I love iTunes, but still stick with Nero for MP3 CD's due to the fact i can keep the folders organized separatley.

Mine plays MP3's as well as WMA's. I'm special. MP3 CD's are the bomb diggity...yesterday I burned the entire Beastie Boys Discology on one CD:

Aglio e Olio
Check Your Head
Hello Nasty
Ill Communication
Licensed to Ill
Paul's Boutique
Some Old Bull____
The In Sound From The Way Out
The Sounds of Science (2 Discs)
To the Five Boroughs

BTW they are all ripped at EXTREMELY HIGH quality....WAY TO HIGH...

I use musicmatch for everything else except burning. You can rip cds, check the ID tags, rename the files, change bitrate (mostly higher to lower, lower to higher doesn't do much good). But for burning, use windows, I've had some song skipping issues, and missing folders with nero. :D

I think their like .m4p right now, I've been trying, but its not working, and when I tried to burn it as a .mp3 disk with iTunes it gave me an error and would not burn. :?

Craig, burn the iTunes Music Store songs out to an Audio CD and then rip them from that CD as MP3 files in iTunes.
