MP3 phone thru AUX???
Has anyone plugged their MP3 Phone into the standard AUX input?? I'm thinking about getting the chocolate phone and the audio cable that goes from the phone to a 3.5 plug. I know if you're listening to the MP3 player, it will alert you when you get a call but i'm not sure if it'll do the same thru the car plug. Does anyone use a similar set up?
I dont have an mp3 phone but you should hear your music and call alerts through the AUX just as you would with normal head phones. I some times plug my normal mp3 player into the aux and I can still hear the low battery alert. just think of the aux port as having realy big headphones.
I use to have my sony ericson w900i connected to the aux in my TC it worked great aside from the fact that I had to turn up the volume up a little louder on the stereo. When ever my phone rang the mp3 player would stop and the phone would ring normally then I would answer the phone via speakerphone then when I would hang up the music would start playing again. Made for a great wow factor to guests in my car!
Verizon sucks ***** IMO.... I had them and they were charging minutes to my phone for phone calls to my phone.... didn't make any sense... it wasn't voicemail becuase it showed as *86.... wasn't data transfer... I tried to dispute it over and over and finally just chopped the contract with them for $300
You'll need the $14 stereo adapter from the Verizon store that converts 2.5mm (chocolate and most mp3 phones) to the standard 3.5mm aux jack. It has a send/end button with a mic on it too. I run my Motorola Q through the adapter into my aux-in (Sirius Sportster 4) and it sounds pretty decent.
my chocolate works perfect in my car and i have never had aproblem with verizone and u can go to your local walmart or radio shack and get an adapter piece for the head phone jack and its only like 1.00 instead of 14.00
