HI, I just got a 05 box a couple weeks ago. I love it. I was wondering about the radio. It has mp3 player on it but I don't have the plug in for it. Can I get that from the dealer to install and if so, does anyone know how much that is. I dont' know a whole lot about them but would like it to work cause I want to get one. Thanks

 

Are you talking about the AUX input jack near the handbrake, or the fact that the head unit/CD player will read/play discs with MPS files on them?

If you're talking about the former, that AUX input jack will accept any audio source via 3.5MM (Or mini jack) connection. Just plug it into the headphone output of any mp3 player, and switch the radio to AUX mode - commence rocking.

Otherwise, burn a few CD's with MP3 files on them, stick 'em in the CD player slot, and commence rocking

Anyway you look at it, rocking shall commence.

Are those multiple car adapters for the cigarette lighters safe to use? I saw one that turns one into three. I sure could use the extra juice.

 

just be careful not to go over the fuse rating for the outlet i think around 10-15amps

 

I know the 05 Stock player doesn't support window's media files, but can read mp3's. I got an aftermarket stereo installed that plays both except dvds.

 

sux for us 05 owners right..grrr
