this is going in my xb when I get it in june...give or take a month or 2 for construction of the fiberglass sub enclosure and amp rack...has anyone put sound dampener in their xB if so how much did it take?... how many layers did you do?...my plan is to do 1 layer over everything then another layer over most the areas that need a little xtra coverage...it should be a fun project

I've got 72 sq. ft. (2 bulk packs) of Dynamat Xtreme going in my xB on the 2nd. I'll let you know how much of it got double or triple layered.

xBofMNx.....
My car has 1 layer of Xtreme Dynamat on the roof, inner and outer door skin, rear hatch, and floorboard. I used approx. 25 sheets of 18"x32", 2 door kits, 2 cans of Dynashield (for enclousure) and 1 pack of Dynsorb. I have some Dynasorb left so im going to put some in the enclosure to see if it helps and some extra sheets of Xtreme Dynamat that I may line my inner fenders with just for the hell of it.
Thats a nice set up, it should sound really clean.

Thank you for the compliment!
Dynamat is great...It makes the car SOLID... People think it sounds like a BMW when the door is closed...haha

if your in the market this is how the items rate from what i hear
dynamat extreme is the best but cost way to much
second skin and brown bread are about even; both are worth the time and effort to use them
there is alot of imatation companies out there and you get what you pay for...(IMHO)
personally I will be using Brown Bread for my install....2 layers on the front doors...1 layer on the back doors....2 layers on the floor....3-4 layers on the hatch...and 1-2 layers on the roof
yes its alot but if I used dynamat extreme I'd do the same thing
