Default Need help with AUX interface installation!!!!

Alright... before I take this thing back to Curcit City, mabe someone here can help out . I purchased an aux interface (see link below) and it does'nt seem to be working right. Installation seemed pretty straight forward, just plug it into the back of your stock deck and push the "Disc" button on the deck. It should work, but it's not, nothing happens. It's like the deck does'nt know anything is pluged into it. Am I missing something? Do I need to disconnect the battery or something to reset the head unit? I did a search and saw that other people have installed similar interfaces into their stock decks. Can any of you guys help me out? Thanks! Later! :D

This is the AUX interface I bought.

Yepp. I pushed every button on the deck and still nothing.

Has anyone hooked up a CD changer to their stock deck? Because it would basicaly be the same thing as what I'm trying to do. Did you have problems? Later! :D

Maybe it's just a bad unit?

RTFM to double check yourself, then exchange it.

I'm totally looking at something just like what you got for
myself.

aren't you supposed to have to hit the cd button twice for it to work? I'm currently piecing together what i need to make this happen so let me know how it goes. I just bought a the belkin auto plug. Charges the ipod and gives a line-out on the plug. So my plan is to tap another cig jack under the panel and and run the wire up to through the rubber surround on the E-brake. \

I'm told the belkin does have a bit of a hum to it but it can be taken care of with a 10 ground loop isolator from radio shack

Yes, I believe there is something like that required. I talked once to a place in San Diego that made an AUX input adapter specifically for the Scions. He mentioned something about pushing the cd button twice it would read "disc 2 track one", or something like that.

Nevermind! I just got a bad unit. Exchanged it and now the new one works fine. The box was opened already at Curcit City when I got the first one. It was probably broken then returned to the store. This thing is definitly worth the $50.00!! It gives me 2 RCA line inputs (one for my media player and another for the soon to be installed xbox). It is so much better than the FM transmitter I was using. Thanks for the help guys. Later! :D

I installed it on the standard 1 disk deck in my xB. I think they're the same deck. Later! :D
