Default Need help solving problems with LED change

So we've run into a little problem changing the LEDs in the dash and hvac in my '05 tC. I was wondering if anyone else had had this problem. After putting all of the new LEDs on the circuit boards we've tested and all of the LED's work properly, but after installation back into the dash and center consol none of the lights work. We're stumped. Has anyone else run into this problem and if so how did you resolve it.

did you try changing the leds around so current flows differently. I'm sure you know this, but LED's are direction specific.

Correct package and voltage? What voltage are you putting across the Diode when you test it?
Also, when you install the diodes onto the PCB, is the brightness dial all the way up?

Yeah - the white and blue LEDs require a higher voltage to operate properly than do red or yellow in most cases. Some also require more current.

If the dropping resistors or other voltage/current control devices used to control the power to the original LEDs won't allow a high enough voltage or current for the new ones...
