Ok well for the past 2 hours or so been looking for info, and I am still lost as hell. A friend down the street gave me a earthquake tremor-12 sub today cause he didn't want it. I know its not the best, but I don't need anything special and it was free. So when it comes to what I will need to put this in the xb with stock hu I am lost. I understand I will need an amp, any suggestions? Also looking to instal myself so any usefull links I would appreciate. Sorry wish I knew more about all of this but I'm still learning. Here is what I could find out about the sub if that helps, taken from some website:

I used a 600 watt mono amp and got the signal from one of the rear speaker wires. I have the amp connected to a switch so I can shut it off when not in use. Hope this helps.

 

ok I sorta understand what your saying. So now question is if I were to go out and buy an amp today to work with only this speaker, what do I need? I don't really understand everything with the ohm's.

 

there is subwoofer amplifer bulit for only subwoofer. and you might need an amplifer kit
it comes with everything need to install, as for stock radio, i dont know. if it was aftermarket radio, there should be a wire to turn on the amplifier to power the subwoofer.
