Default Need some wiring help

I am going to be wiring up a subwoofer in the morning. It has a lead marked "remote switch" and is supposed to be wired to the power antenna lead on the radio. My xb doesn't have a power antenna but according to the wiring harness color code sheet I got here there is a power antenna lead. There is also a radio switch lead. My understanding is that this remote switch is just used to allow the seperate power lead for the amp in the subwoofer to be switched on when the radio is turned on. So, could I use either one, or is one better than the other?

you could use either one if i undersatand what your saying. All that wire needs to see is 12v when you turn the car to the "run" or "on" position. use a meter to make sure that the wire you pick does not have 12v when the car is off and has 12v when the car is on.

OK, spent a long, HOT, sweaty day but finally got her hooked up. For info purposes, there is no wire on the xb headunit that will work like a electric antenna lead for 12v signal switching. So I just wired the 12v signal wire via a manual switch that I mounted in one of the knockouts above the ash tray. Apparantly the switch that was available at Lowes is no longer the same as it is not a direct fit anymore. I had to cut a seperate hole in the knockout to mount the switch. Fun and games!!
Final story, the 77.00 sub works very well for what I wanted! It really gives me a nice bass boost that perks up the sound quality just enough. The wiring harness provided was perfect an allows for quick detachment and removal of the sub when you need the room, and the wiring harness is quick to hide away out of sight. Good bargain!!
