New driver with bazooka amp/box
I have a tC with the bazooka sub. I tried turning the gain all the way up and I get distortion so it leaves me to beleive that there is a little left in the 100 w stock amp. Anyone try putting a better driver in the stock box with the stock amp?
yeah, I am not a car audio expert or anything, but I'm pretty sure turning the gain up doesn't really make it any louder. It isn't a volume control.
I doubt anyone had done much to the stock bazooka sub other than 1.) Leave it alone
or 2.) Throw it away and get seperate box w/sub and amp.
You may want to sell it and put the money towards upgrading. I would guess that the bazooka is as well engineered as it gets given what is powering it.
good luck

I used to be an audio nut, had 2 10 kicker comp vrs in a bandpass box. I got the VSE sub to save some trunk space. Just wondering if it's been tried. I don't like being the guinepig.
well if your going to spend that much money from a factory sub then u fall in my category of dumb .. lol naw j.k .. i was really thinking about buying the dealer sub , but i thought twice and didnt. Im happy with my pioneer bass tube. it not the one from the dealer a whole other tube that i got for free
.. i have alot of trunk space , and the the thing pounds .. im very happy with what i got.
