can someone please tell me how you remove the leads like in picture 7

 

It's a ZIF socket. A portion of the top of the socket actually slides up and down, locking the ribbon cable in place. Pop up the socket tab with a small screwdriver or knife, and the ribbon cable will slide right out.

ive been wanting to do this mod for some time now.

so now its time.
i sent an email to chad about what i wanted.
im going with a Ferrari type face plate with a scion emblem insted of the horse.
its going to be hot.

i just did a background swap on my xb, now the speedom. needle doesn't work. Did you have this issue at all?

 

Is Jason still doing the gauge swap? The ebay store link say it does not exist anymore.
Anyone else have tried elsewhere?
